Huge Beauty Haul

Hello Beauties

I'm back today with a huge beauty haul. I've recently taken one too many visits to Boots and have been buying bits and bobs each time. I thought I'd combine them together and show you what I've bought.
I also took advantage of a discount code I had from MAC that gave me free next day delivery and a free gift with my purchase.

First up are some hair products. I got the Surf Spray from Bumble and Bumble as I have naturally wavy hair and have never tried a product like this. The Bumble & Bumble stand at Boots had an offer where you got 2 samples with any purchase so I got given the Thickening Spray and the Straight Blow Dry cream

maybelline barrym huckleberry apple mint pink volt orange punch
(L-R: Sugar Candied Apple, Huckleberry, Pink Volt, Orange Punch)

As we're moving onto warmer and brighter months and I realised that most of the nail polish colours that I own are quite neutral, nude or dark. I don't really have any bright colours, so I picked up these 2 from Maybelline that I think will be perfect for summer. I then picked up 2 shades from the Barry M Gelly range. I love this range from Barry M, they're so shiny, they last well on the nails and the shade range is amazing.

I then have a lip liner and eyeliner. The lip liner is a Rimmel Exaggerate liner in the shade Red Diva. I bought this to pair with my MAC Russian Red lipstick however, I've also found that it looks beautiful alone. The eyeliner is Bourjois Contour Clubbing eyeliner in Purple Night. I love these eyeliners and have a few of the colours now. I've been enjoying a pop of colour on my waterline to pair with a neutral look and the purple brings out the brown in my eyes.

(L-R: Highlighter, Crochet, Guipure, Chantilly)

If you have read any posts by Anna, you will know that she loves the Bourjois Healthy Balance powder and I've been looking for a new one so I thought I'd give it a go. I got mine in the shade Deep Beige. I also picked up the Sleek Blush Trio in Lace. I don't have any bright blush shades like these and although they look scary, they actually look lovely on the skin and I'm so pleased I picked it up. I picked up the No7 Instant Radiance Bronzing Highlighter with inspiration from a friend who was on the hunt for a cream highlighter. I realised I don't have one either and thought I'd give a drugstore one a try. It's a lovely gold colour which is really suited to my skin tone and will look lovely in the summer when everyone has a tan.
(L-R: All That Glitters, Statuesque, Woodwinked)

These eyeshadows are not new and for most of you, they probably are ones you've had in your collections for a while. The 2 MAC eyeshadows are in the shades All That Glitters and Woodwinked and the third shadow is 17's Eyeshadow Mono Statuesque shade. They are all very similar to each other in colour; they all have gold shimmer running through them. I've been eyeing up the MAC shades for a while and finally just decided to buy them. I used to have the 17 shadow when it was in the round pot, but they have revamped their packaging now.

(L-R: Stone, Angel, Syrup)
I know I bought some MAC lipsticks, not too long ago, but I just had to go back for some more. I've got to warn you that they're not the most interesting shades, but I love having colours that I know I'll be able to wear a lot. I got the shades Syrup (Lustre) and Angel (Frost). These are both perfect to pair with the Soar and Whirl lip liners that I bought previously and alone. I then picked up the Stone lipliner that just came back in stock. I haven't used it yet, but I know that it's one to have in my collection.

I've been on the hunt for a good drugstore concealer for quite a while now and I feel like I've tried quite a few. I do like the Maybelline Fit Me the best, so far, but I've heard some good reviews on the above 2 and thought I'd give them a go. On the left is Revlon Colorstay Concealer in Medium Beige and on the right is Soap and Glory Kick Ass concealer in Medium. I have a feeling that they Soap and Glory one might be a tad too light, but I shall update you on that soon.

Lastly, I picked up a Boots, own brand, eyeshadow brush as I was looking for another brush to keep clean for blending. It's not actually the best shape for blending at all and is much more suited for placing shadow on the lid. I also managed to order another bottle of the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation (not pictured), in Syracuse, as it had FINALLY come back in stock on the SpaceNK site.

There you have it. I hope this was helpful and maybe you see some products you want to try out too! Let me know :) Boots currently have a 3 for 2 offer on all makeup so it's a great time to pick stuff up.

Thank you for reading

  1. Definitely tell me how you feel about the Bumble and Bumble products! My friend used it before and wasn't a fan. Those nail polishes are perfect for spring! How moisturizing is the lipliner? I like to use lipliner alone sometimes, and I was wondering if that one would work well!

  2. Such a lovely haul! I have heard so many raves about the Bourjois Healthy Mix range so am not surprised that the powder is good! The foundation would totally be on the 'best drugstore products' list - it is pretty great!

I can't wait to hear the update on the concealers, I have a feeling colourstay should be good, seeing as the foundation is not too bad!

Hope you have a lovely week!

  3. I will keep you updated on the hair products. The Rimmel liner is really nice to wear alone and they have lots more colours. The MAC one is also great but I wouldn't wear the stone colour alone but have a look at other shades, they're nice to wear alone. As always they need a good layer of lip balm to prep xx
