MAC Cinderella Collection

Hello Beauties

If you've been reading any beauty blogs lately or are a MAC fan, you will know that their Cinderella collection launched a few weeks ago. Now, I don't usually fall for the MAC collection hype, but there was something so different about this one, that I had to take a look.I've got to say it was mainly the packaging that made me want at least something. Unfortunately, with the collections, you have to be extremely fast if deciding to purchase any items, as they get sold out super quickly!

By the time I managed to get my hands on anything, most of the collection was sold out, so I only got to pick up 2 items but I love them. I picked up a lipstick in the shade Free As A Butterfly and an Iridescent Powder in the shade Coupe D'Chic.

The lipstick is a very, very nude colour with HIGH shimmer. This stuff is shimmer central for the lips and that is what I love about it. I have been loving the look of wearing lip liners by themselves, however, they are very drying on the lips and can also highlight existing dryness. I love wearing this lipstick over the top of lip liner, focusing on the centre of the lips, for an extra something to the look because it's more of a gloss formula really and it's way too nude to wear alone.

The Iridescent Powder is in a shade that I wouldn't have thought I'd like. In the pan it looks like a Pink powder, with a lot of shimmer running through it. However, when I swatched it on my hand, I was pleasantly surprised. It's a lovely pink-peach shade (with shimmer) and I think it would look great as a highlight on my skin tone and darker skin tones as well.

Sorry that there are no swatches of these! I tried really hard but the colours just do not want to show up properly in photos.

Have you been lucky enough to grab something in this collection? What do you think of it?

Thank you for reading
