FOTD #1

Hello Beauties

Recently, I've been going for quite a natural look on my face and have been enjoying it quite a lot. It's a great look for everyday, whether you're at work, school, college or just want to look like an improved version of yourself. The best thing is that most of these products can be found in the drugstore.

For the base, I've used Chanel VitaLumiere (50) with Clarins Instant Concealer (3) and Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer (Nude). This foundation is really lovely and has been giving me much joy whilst my beloved Sheer Glow is out of stock. I like the Clarins concealer for correcting, but it's not quite brightening enough so I've been layering the Maybelline one on top and liking the look. As the Maybelline concealer is light in coverage, the 2 together don't look caked on. I don't usually use primer, but I just got the Smashbox Primer Water and tested it out today. I will have more updates on that soon.

On the eyes: Soap & Glory Archery Eyebrow Pencil (Hot Chocolate), Maybelline 24 Hour Eyeshadow Cream (Creamy Beige), Bourjois Liquid Liner (Black), Smashbox 3D Liner (Bare) and L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara (Black). I haven't been using this eyebrow pencil for long, but it's really good. I've heard that it's a good dupe for the Anastasia Eyebrow Whiz, so if you've been wanting to try that, I'd give this a go. The 'hit' product for me, on the eyes, is the Maybelline colour tattoo (leather effect). If, like me, you have very oily eye lids, then I would suggest giving these Leather effect colour tattoos a go. It is the only eyeshadow cream to have lasted on my eyes, for a whole day, with no primer underneath. Very impressed. If you read my February Favourites, you will know how much I love the Bourjois liner and the L'Oreal mascara is one of the best I've used, for top and bottom lashes. The Smashbox liner is a new addition but it's a great colour in the waterline to make the eyes look more open and awake.

On the cheeks: Barry M Flawless Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit. This is a new addition to my collection but it's really nice and very affordable. There is a highlight, warm brown and cool brown. I use the cool brown shade underneath the cheekbones and alone the jawline first and then blend out with a little of the warm brown shade. I also like using a mix of the 2 in my eye socket crease. I then use the highlight shade on the tops of my cheekbones, bridge of the nose, middle of the forehead and chin (usual spots), aswell as the inner corners of my eyes and underneath the eyebrow.

On the lips: Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon (Proudly Naked). This is a lovely everyday colour. It just enhances the lips with a hint of light pink and I love it.

So that's it! There are quite a few products there but they can be used for a more natural look to just enhance the features.
