February Favourites

Hello Beauties!
I am back today with some products that I have been loving throughout the month of Feb.

First up are 2 eyeliners that I have been using everyday this month. One of them is the Bourjois Liner Feutre (thank goodness I don't have to attempt to say that out loud). I had just finished my L'oreal Super Liner and they had none in stock at my Boots so I went around looking for a new one. I saw the Bourjois liner and tested it on the back of my hand (a necessity with all eyeliners). It is a felt line that is very black and glides smoothly but I didn't think it was anything too special so I left it in the store. Throughout the day I had washed my hands, a good number of times, and taken a shower when I noticed that there was still a faint line from the eyeliner. That was the selling point for me and I haven't regretted it at all. It's such a quick and easy eyeliner to apply, which is why I like it for everyday use and once it's set, it does not budge. The next eyeliner is the 17 Semi Permanent Liquid Eyeliner - Tattoo Me (ridiculously long name for an eyeliner). I've mentioned this before, in my Valentine's Glam post (typical that I lost it just when I wanted to take a picture for this post) and I love, love, love it. Now, I must say, that I hate the brush this eyeliner comes with but that is just because I've never been able to work with that brush style so it may be completely fine for you. I use it with the MAC 210 as it's my fave for gel liner and now this! The formula is very wet at first so you have to be careful to not open and close your eyes too much or it will transfer and once set, you will face a lot of trouble trying to take it off. Its lasting power is incredible for the price. I have eyes that water like crazy, at the best of times, and this eyeliner is able to withstand that. I tend to only use this on special occassions, or at weekends because it takes slightly longer to work with.

Next up are some lip products. All the products are in very similar colours but different enough (at least that's what I tell myself). They are Sleek Eau La La Lip Liner in Lingerie,  L'Oreal Paris Les Lipliner Couture in Bois de Rose(302) and Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm in Sultry. All 3 of these products are in a smoky/dusky rose colour and it's one that I have been absolutely loving recently. It must be the Kylie Jenner effect and as MAC's Whirl and Soar have been out of stock (for what feels like forever) I have been looking at any/all the alternatives I can find. I love wearing the lip liners alone, making sure I have plenty of lip balm on underneath as liners can be very drying and ain't nobody got time for flaky lips. The Matte Balm is a lovely product to wear and I have not actually found this drying at all, despite it being matte. If you're into the same sort of lip colour, I would check these products out and they can all be topped with gloss if you're not a fan of the matte/satin lip look.

Third on my list are 2 blushes. The first is one that I haven't really heard too much about in the blogging world and that is Sleek Makeup Blush in Antique. I have to admit that I was, initially, looking for the shade Rose Gold as it's a cult favourite but this was the shade that caught my eye and I have been wearing it everyday! It's a darker shade than most blushes and so may not be suitable for very fair skintones, but it's beautiful and I have been using it as a blush/bronzer hybrid by placing it slightly on my cheekbones, slightly under my cheekbones. As with all Sleek blushes, it is very pigmented so you don't need much product at all. If you don't own a Sleek blush, I'd give them a swatch. The second one is MAC Powder Blush in Pinch Me. This is more of a berry/pink colour which suits my skintone well and gives a nice colour to the cheeks. I've also found that it compliments the lip products (above) very well.

The final beauty product is a perfume that I have liked for a few months but never got round to purchasing until a few weeks ago. That is Benefit's Lee Lee. I am terrible at describing fragrances, so I will copy the description I have found: 'woody floral - a light blend of citrus, jasmine & lily blossoms'. This perfume is so lovely! I can't get enough of it and I get compliments on it everytime I wear it. It also has great staying power, which is a definite plus. Make sure you give this a sniff if you're passing a Benefit counter.

Just for fun, there are some random favourites that I thought I'd throw in. The first is the Carex Handwash in the Bubblegum scent. I can not get enough of this scent, I wash my hands so many times in a day just because of it. If you're into the bubblegum/sweets scent buy this! Next is a hand cream by the brand Boozi and is in the scent French Martini. I picked this up at the Ideal Home Show in November and forgot all about it but it is a lovely product and the scent is fab! Lastly I have been loving listening to music from Years & Years, they are on repeat for me at the moment, give them a listen if you haven't heard their music.

My goodness, this was a long post wasn't it?! Let me know what products you've been loving in the past month =)

Thank you for reading
Nikita x
