Mini Boots Haul

Hello lovelies :)

For my first actual post, I thought I would keep it simple with a mini Boots (drugstore) haul.

I love working next to a Boots store, but it can be very dangerous as I find myself going in almost everyday. There's always new product launches or even old products that just catch your eye and make you want to have them (this is often the case for me).

1) Batiste Dry Shampoo (for brown hair) - My favourite dry shampoo. I have very dark brown hair and I feel that the normal dry shampoos can often leave a white cast on my hair, no matter how much a brush it out. This coloured dry shampoo is so easy to just spray, massage in and go. I am always repurchasing this and would highly recommend it to anyone with a darker hair colour.

2) Sanctuary Spa Wonder Oil Serum - This is a very new purchase for me and so I can't really give a review as I've only used it once. I have normal/dry skin and was looking for a serum/oil to apply before moisturiser for that extra hydration. I chose this one because it's an oil/serum hybrid and I can get quite lazy when it comes to skincare. It was also on offer in Boots, so if you're thinking about buying it, check it out. It has a nice lemon scent and feels lovely to apply. I will do another post after some more uses.

3) Avene Ystheal Eye and Lip Contour Cream - I was in the market for a new eye cream. I have been using the Bobbi Brown Hydrating eye cream and love that, but wanted to try something new (of course). I saw this and thought I'd give it a go. Although I have quite a young looking face, I do have crows feet around the eyes (thanks mother) and liked the sound of this cream being specifically made for the contours of the eyes. I don't really have a problem with lines around my mouth, so I will be mainly concentrating this around the eyes. I will let you know how I get on.

(Birthday Suit, Velvet Beige, Lingerie, Red Night Sky)

4) Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream (Birthday Suit) - I am a fan of these lip creams. I bought the colour Petal a few weeks ago, but it's a bit too bright for my skin tone unless I mix it with another product. This colour though is perfect for me (I'm an NC42/Syracuse for reference). They are a little drying though so a lip balm is essential before application.

5) Sleek Makeup Eau La La Liner (Red Sky Night & Lingerie) - I love sleek lip liners. They are really creamy and easy to wear. Lingerie is a dark reddy-pink colour, while Red Night Sky is more of a lighter pink colour (The names should definitely be the other way round).

6) Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick (Velvet Beige 630) - This is a nice, neutral, everyday colour. These lipsticks are nice and creamy and feel lovely on the lips. The longevity is null and will need reapplying after anything eaten or drunk, but this is made up for by the colour and texture.

7) L'oreal Colour Riche Eyeshadow (Golden Nude 204 & Macaron Vanille 107) - OMG! The texture of these eyesahdows is amazing, they are so lovely to apply. I got 2 pretty neutral colours and I can already tell that I am going to get a lot of use out of these. Can not wait to try them!

This was a longer post than I had imagined for my 1st blog but I hope it was helpful.

Thank you for reading
