Sanctuary Spa Warming Microbrasion Polish Review

Hello Beauties

Today I bring to you, a skincare product from Sanctuary Spa. Now, if you've read my Disappointing Products post, then you will know that I tried the WonderOil Serum and absolutely hated it due to the breakouts it gave me. However, I have found a skincare product from this brand that I am in love with!

The Warming Microbrasion Polish (£12.50) is one of the best exfoliators I have ever tried. As a person with dry skin, I can get dry patches that make my skin look horrible. This also occurs after I've been on holiday and the burnt parts of my face (always the nose and forehead) start peeling. After a couple of uses of this, my dry skin is demolished and my skin is soft and most certainly, brand new.

I'm not going to lie to you, I really did get this because of the word "Warming" in the title and honestly did not expect it to do much for my skin, except get me excited at the fact that it warms as you rub it into the skin. However, after using this every week for over 3 months now, I can safely say this is a wonderful product. It really helps to make my skin feel rejuvenated. Even if I only use it once a week, I know my skin will be happy.

I like to use this in the shower mainly. I will dampen my face and then apply a small amount of product on my face, and let it stay on the skin whilst I get on with the rest of my shower (wash hair/body/sing/think about life) and then wash this off at the end. It has never broken me out, so I would recommend trying this out if you feel your skin needs a bit of oomph.

Have you tried this or anything else from Sanctuary Spa? What do you think of it?

Thank you for reading

Current Cleanser Round Up

Hello Beauties,

As you know, I love using a cleansing oil/balm to remove my makeup at the end of the day because it's quick and easy. I have recently noticed that I actually have 4 products of this type and so I thought I'd give you my thoughts on them. All of the below are applied to dry skin and then rinsed away with water to cleanse the skin.

Magnitone Review

Hello Beauties

For today's post I will be reviewing the Magnitone Lucid* (£69.99). This is an electric facial cleansing brush that gives a deeper exfoliation to the skin and can be used alongside your normal cleanser.

This brush uses enhanced electromagnetic pulsations that send rapid vibrations into skin, naturally unclogging pores, and sweeping away dry and dead skin cells, leaving a clearer complexion. It claims to leave you with clearer, glowing skin in just 7 days of use! So I put this to the test.

Now, I already own the Clarisonic brush, which is very similar to the Magnitone. I've had mine for about 6 years now and although I love that, I was very excited to try the Magnitone in comparison. After 7 days of use, I can confirm that this brush really has given me glowing, softer skin. I didn't have any breakouts or spots to begin with, so I wasn't looking to clear my skin up and therefore can not comment on how good the brush is for that, but in terms of glowing skin, this is your guy.

The best part of the brush is that it only takes 1 minute to cleanse the whole of your face. When you start the brush, the head will start vibrating against your skin until time is up, at which point it will beep to indicate it's time to move to another part of the face(Forehead - 20s, Nose/Chin - 20s, Cheeks - 10s each).

The first thing I noticed about the brush was that the bristles are incredibly soft; definitely softer than the Clarisonic. It also comes with a setting for sensitive skin, which is so great for first timers or if you're a bit scared of trying an electric brush for your face. It's definitely a nice way to get things started off. It leaves the skin so soft afterward and I find that my facial oil sinks into the skin so much quicker when I use this to cleanse.
I also love that it comes it bright, fun colours. I chose a mint green colour and I love how it brightens up my bathroom. I use this every other day or sometimes every 3 days, but it all depends on how much exfoliation you think your skin needs.
I would highly recommend this cleansing brush and am so excited to see how my skin changes with further use. If you want to try this, Magnitone have been extremely kind in giving my readers 20% off when you use the code Nikita20 at checkout.
Have you ever tried a facial cleansing brush before or are thinking about it? Let me know

Weekend Makeup Look

Hello Beauties,

A few weekends ago, it was really nice and sunny in London, so I thought I'd try out a bold lip with lots of lashes for my makeup. I've not really worn a look like this before and thought it was lovely for the daytime and weather. I kept the eye makeup quite neutral and focused mostly on big, black lashes and the red lips.

Nail HQ Treatments

Hello Beauties

Today's post is a review of some nail treatments that I have recently been putting to the test.

I tend to change my nail colour every week and always use a base coat underneath the polish, but I have never thought to use one that would also help the condition of nail aswell. That's where these 3 nail treatments come in.

Disappointing Products

Hello Beauties

Today's post is a little different from what I've been talking about so far. I've purchased a few items that I had high hopes for and they have just not met my expectations but just because they didn't work for me, doesn't mean they won't work for you.

Evening out makeup

Hello Beauties
Last weekend, I went out for a birthday at Mayfair Exchange, London. The venue is lovely and one I would recommend if you're looking to book somewhere that can hold a large number of people. I don't have any pictures of the place, unfortunately, (too busy drinking and dancing) but I thought I'd go through what I wore on my face.

Haircare Routine

Hello Beauties

Recently, I've had quite a few comments and questions about my hair and what I use, so I thought I'd tell you about my haircare routine.
For reference, my hair can get quite flat and after a day or two of washing, it tends to get greasy at the roots. It's generally quite normal.

Current Lip Faves

Hello Beauties!

I thought I'd bring today, some of the lip products that I have been loving for the past couple of weeks. If you have read some of my other posts then you will see that I have mentioned that I have been loving wearing lip liners alone, or matte colours on my lips. As much as this is still true, I recently went on a quick trip to Kenya and since coming back, my skin and lips have become extremely dry. For this reason, I have been avoiding matte colours and drying products as much as possible.

FOTD #1

Hello Beauties

Recently, I've been going for quite a natural look on my face and have been enjoying it quite a lot. It's a great look for everyday, whether you're at work, school, college or just want to look like an improved version of yourself. The best thing is that most of these products can be found in the drugstore.

Sanctuary Spa Review

Hello Beauties

Today, I want to talk to you about a brand that I have been absolutely loving for bodycare. It's a brand that have been out for a long time and although found at the drugstore, they are considered to be part of a premium range.

That brand is, no other than, Sanctuary Spa.

Coconut Oil

Hey Beauties!

I'm coming to you, today, with a sort of different post to the ones I've been publishing so far.

Today, I want to talk to you all about Coconut Oil. If you haven't heard of coconut oil, where have you been?! This stuff is amazing and can be used in so many different ways. Unlike a lot of other oils, coconut oil is actually in solid form at room temperature, which is a little bit strange to get used to at first but I find it very easy to work with, as it melts pretty quickly.

Narssisst Blush, Contour and Lip Palette

Hello Beauties

I recently discovered a Space NK store near my place of work (happy face for me, unhappy face for my bank account). I was so excited to discover this after 8 months and can not believe it took me so long. I have a fairly long wishlist of products from Space NK, but I am restricting myself for the moment.

On Friday, I went in looking for a repuchase of my Sheer Glow Foundation (Syracuse), however, to my disappointment, it is still sold out in many stores. I then saw this palette with 3, gorgeous, pink shades and a pink gloss and had to take a look.

Mini Boots Haul

Hello lovelies :)

For my first actual post, I thought I would keep it simple with a mini Boots (drugstore) haul.

I love working next to a Boots store, but it can be very dangerous as I find myself going in almost everyday. There's always new product launches or even old products that just catch your eye and make you want to have them (this is often the case for me).

I’ve decided to start a blog about the products I like, dislike and discover because I love reading other people’s opinions about the same stuff.
Hope you look forward to more posts to come.
